PMTS emulates the key operational performance and accuracy of all precision guided munitions including the PavewayTM II Plus Laser Guided Bomb, the new Paragon™ direct attack munition, the Dual Mode Laser Guided Bomb (DMLGB) and JDAM/Laser JDAM. The training system integrates a low-cost GPS/Inertial Navigation System subsystem and a MIL-STD-1760 aircraft interface with proven Lockheed Martin Enhanced Laser Guided Training Round technology, thereby providing multiple training options at a fraction of the cost of using tactical weapons.
The PMTS multi-carriage-capable airframe provides increased aircraft loadout, further improving overall training cost effectiveness by allowing more training per sortie. Lockheed Martin is the only worldwide supplier of affordable, live-fire training capability, having delivered over 190,000 LGTR/ELGTRs to the U.S. Navy and international customers.
